We are seeking an experienced and talented Executive Chef to lead the culinary team at a well-established boutique hotel in Toronto. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and innovative chef with a background in upscale hotels.

Responsibilities:
– Oversee the culinary operation of the boutique hotel, including the all-day dining restaurant, bar, lounge, and in-room menus
– Lead a kitchen team of 11 members, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production
– Develop creative and seasonal menus that showcase local ingredients and cater to the preferences of our discerning guests
– Maintain strict quality control and adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
– Manage inventory, food costing, and budgeting to achieve financial targets
– Collaborate with the Food and Beverage team to create memorable dining experiences for the guests
– Stay updated with culinary trends and industry innovations to continuously elevate the offerings
– Train, mentor, and motivate the kitchen staff to foster a positive and professional work environment

Requirements:
– Proven experience as a chef in an upscale hotel environment
– Strong banquet experience is highly preferred
– Culinary degree or equivalent qualification is a plus
– Excellent leadership and communication skills
– Creative and passionate about food, with a keen eye for detail
– Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
– Canadian residency and work permit are mandatory
